The Arc of Iberia is committed to securing for all people with developmental disabilities the opportunity to develop, function and live to their fullest potential.

Arc of Iberia is active on the local, state and national level. We are a family driven organization which involves volunteers, educators and professionals who are devoted to improving the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities.

EDA / PCA Services

Arc of Iberia’s EDA/PCA Services (Elderly Disabled Adult / Personal Care Attendant) offers people who have become disabled as a result of the aging process or have become disabled as a result of a stroke, etc. services are provided within the person’s home.  These services are available to people 65 years or older, or 21 years of age or older with disabilities, who meet additional eligibility requirements. Services include, but are not limited to personal hygiene and maintaining a clean home environment.  Our PCA’s enhance the quality of life of the EDA recipient by providing transportation to doctor’s appointments, as well other daily living activities.

 Residential Services

Arc of Iberia Residential Services operates four community homes each serving individuals with developmental disabilities and offering them the opportunity to learn and grow in an environment that provides support and encouragement. At Arc’s community homes residents enjoy their independence while having access to supports, training and services such as transportation, money management, counseling, medical assistance and social activities.
Residences of Arc of Iberia’s community homes are encouraged to use their abilities to their fullest potential.  Arc’s residents are encouraged to live and grow in a world which does not set them apart by scorn, pity or ridicule, but rather welcomes them with the identical privileges and responsibilities offered to all guided by those who understand the nature of challenge faced by individuals with developmental disabilities.
Arc of Iberia strives to help resident of community homes assimilate into their neighborhood, becoming good neighbors, friends and community members.
